“As a Wauwatosa School District elementary teacher for 30 years, the mother of two sons who attended Tosa schools and a Wauwatosa resident for 18 + years, I support Chris Merker for seat 7 on the Wauwatosa School Board. Throughout my years as an educator, I have wanted nothing more than for our supporters to be present in our schools getting to know staff, students and families. Chris is an integral part of the community. 

As a parent, he has been involved in his children’s school events volunteering in countless ways to be a positive role model not only for his children but for all children. He knows Tosa and knows what our students, families and teachers need to succeed together. 

Chris’s financial background is crucial for ensuring the financial health of our district. He wants to see dollars spent to give teachers what is needed in the classroom to set students up for future success. Chris will bring energy, passion, and drive to ensure that decisions are made in the best interest of our students, families, teachers and community.  

We need people who are ready to go above and beyond, to put in the time, to listen and to make decisions that are not politically motivated. Chris is who we need to sit on the Wauwatosa School Board and represent the students, families, and teachers of Wauwatosa.”
